Mp3Extractor is not your average audio cutting tool. This free piece of software will let you "clean" audio files of any length by cutting out the pieces you want to keep, leaving out everything else (such as DJs commentaries, radio commercials or simply those tracks you do not like). The whole process can take place in one single operation, and the files can then be saved either as individual tracks or as a new big audio file without leaving Mp3Extractor.
It may not have the most attractive and intuitive interface in the world, but Mp3Extractor certainly stands out from most of the other audio cutters, trimmers, clippers, or slicers out there, nice-looking as they might be, thanks to its above-average functionality. However, despite what its name may lead you to believe, this is not a tool to "extract" the audio of any movie or video file. What this program has been designed to do is to help you create a clean MP3 file with just the parts you want to keep out of a longer MP3 file. This is especially useful when you have long one-file recordings of DJ sessions, radio programs, television shows, live concerts, etc. The average audio cutting tool would also let you get rid of certain fragments and keep the rest, but that would mean to perform the same trimming operation again and again. Mp3Extractor lets you put as many "in" and "out" marks as you wish in the original MP3 file, and perform all the audio extractions in one go. The resulting files can be stored as individual MP3s or joined using the program's built-in MP3 joiner. All files can be accurately annotated and described, keeping your input and output files perfectly organized.
The program works exclusively with Winamp, and yes, you are required to have this audio player installed in your computer to make use of Mp3Extractor's functionality, as it does not come with any audio player of its own. That is the only price you will have to "pay".
